Copenhagen Jazz Festival

Each summer, Copenhagen becomes 'Jazz City' when it hosts the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.  The Winter Jazz Festival is usually held every February.

Copenhagen Jazz Festival was held for the first time in 1979. Since then, it has grown to be one of Europe’s biggest jazz festivals.  With more than 1,000 concerts spanning 10 musical days, the sound of jazz can be heard throughout Copenhagen in more than 100 jazz clubs, concert halls and theatres. The Festival has gained momentum in recent years with attendance reaching more than 250,000.
