Culture Night - Kulturnatten
Once a year, on a special evening called Culture Night (“Kulturnatten”), museums, churches, companies, associations and municipality buildings in Copenhagen open their doors to the public. Many of these normally offer limited or no access at all to the public. However, if you buy a “Kulturpas” - which acts as your ticket - for just 90 DKK, you will be able to get rare behind the scenes experiences of what makes Copenhagen tick. The ticket also grants you complete access to all public transportation within the inner city from 5 pm to 5 am, so you can get around and back again when the time comes.
The purpose of Culture Night is to stimulate interest in the educational aspects of the city and open people’s eyes to its cultural offerings. Every participating institution or company is officially open from 6 pm – 12 am. Once the doors are closed and the events end, bars and clubs stay open until the wee hours of the morning - just in case you decide to continue the fun.
Tickets are usually released around September or October so learn more here.
