Danhostel Paints Nørreport Station Blue with New Bicycle Seat Covers
Danhostel's bicycle event in Copenhagen was a great success. 600 blue bicycle covers were placed on bicycles in front of happy Copenhagen locals and tourists. Look out Jutland and Funen: Danhostel is coming soon!
With the text, "Danhostel.dk. Bo godt og billigt. Ferie til familier i alle størrelser," translated as, ‘Danhostel.dk. Stay good and cheap. Holidays for families of all sizes,’ Danhostel's Marketing Department covered 600 parked bicycles with blue seat covers at Nørreport Station in Copenhagen.
The Danish summer continues to shower us with watery blessings in the form of rain, rain rain, so the event was well received by Copenhageners who bike for work or pleasure. Nørreport Station was transformed into a huge sea of blue saddles. Tourists were pleasantly surprised and delighted to see the employees of Danhostel making themselves useful, while at the same time, spreading the word about the 83 hostels all over Denmark. The event was so popular that both tourists and Danes asked for seat covers to bring home as a reminder of their trip to Copenhagen.
Soon the hard working employees will be coming to a city near you. Covers will be placed on cycles in Jutland, and the Island of Funen. The first cities to get their blue seat covers will be Odense, Esbjerg, Herning, Viborg, Silkeborg and Aarhus.
In the spring of 2019, the Danhostel brand published a manifesto and new strategy to implement the 17 UN Sustainable Goals over the coming years. Several Danhostels have already embraced many of the initiatives. Danhostel Ebeltoft has already implemented 4 of the 17 World Goals.
