    Danhostel Skanderborg is located in a big forest with a beautiful lake - perfect for swimming, yet close to the city and its many attractions. The guests are so happy for the beautiful surroundings, they rate the Hostel 9.73 out of 10.

    Danhostel Skanderborg is set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings in the middle of a magnificent beech forest with Skanderborg Lake just 5 m away.   The hostel is just a few km from the town of Skanderborg, and about 6 km from the highway.  There are 36 en-suite rooms; a total of 118 beds, and 10 cabins.

    The lake by the hostel is perfect for swimming, with a beach area where kids can play and swim.  Other lakes and streams are close by with opportunities to fish, rent motorboats or canoes for sailing.  There is an area for barbequing.  Rooms for conferences and special occasions for up to 70 participants are available.

    The town of Skanderborg has a rich and interesting history.  It is an old merchant town, with many cafes, restaurants, specialty shops, tourist attractions, activities, and museums.
