Desserts of Scandinavia

    Joy Smith

The Nordic countries have many delicious desserts. While each country has its own goodies, you might find a similar dessert in another country, but under a different name.

Did you know that the Norwegian Tilslørte Bondepiker is just like the Danish æblekage?  This is a dessert that consists of a layer of apples, one of crushed biscuits such as digestive, then a layer of whipped cream.   Repeat the layers until you reach the top of your bowl or glass.  Try both.  You will like them.

Here is just one dessert from each Nordic country to whet your appetite.
