Stay at the Monastery - Danhostel Vitskøl Kloster
Experience history when you spend the night at Danhostel Vitskøl Kloster located near the Limfjord.
Danhostel Vitskøl Kloster's collaboration with Danhostel literally means that everyone now has the opportunity to stay at the monastery - at least for a night.
The decor immediately provides insight into the monastery's ancient history; from medieval power struggles to the peaceful tranquillity that now exists at the Limfjord. The reception area is right next to the church auditorium. The monastery was donated by Valdemar the Great in the 12th century to thank God for the peace that the Danish Kingdom enjoyed. This peace and tranquillity can be enjoyed by guests throughout the building, especially during breakfast under the vaults in the monk's hall, and in other rooms in the monastery.
The thick stone walls guarantee peace and quiet. That means you will not have to deal with your fellow guests' snoring. The rooms are bright and white with classic, architect-designed furniture. The rooms and bathrooms are light and spacious.
Take a walk in the beautiful monastery garden and experience various medicinal herbs that have been grown on the site for the last 850 years.
