Christmas in Odense
As in other cities in Denmark, Christmas is a big event in Odense. Whether it’s the lights, Christmas markets, special foods, meals and drink or dancing around the Christmas tree, the Danes look forward to this time of year. The expectations for the holidays are high and all the excitement make the dark, dreary days seem fun.
In Odense, the Christmas tree is usually lit the last Saturday in November. Santa is there along with music and all types of entertainment. At the Christmas markets, you will find everything you need from decorations and entertainment to meals and vegetable stalls. When you visit the different stalls, there will always be something waiting for you. It might even have your name on it!
