Danhostel Aarhus
Hosts Laila and Morten Truelsen welcome you to low-priced accommodation at Danhostel Aarhus.
Danhostel Aarhus lies amidst the lovely Riis Forest, north of the city centre. When you spend the night with us, you are only a few minutes away on foot from Den Permanente, which has a beach and a sea bath. Danhostel Aarhus has modern and well-preserved buildings. There are thirty-five rooms, mostly on the ground floor, an elegant dining room and a kitchen which serves a healthy breakfast buffet. We have barbecue and campfire areas, free car and coach parking, free Wi-Fi, a playground and petanque. We are the perfect location for single travellers, families, school camps or groups. We supply everything you need for the perfect stay.
After a morning dip at the beach, Den Permanente, eat a well-deserved breakfast in the hostel's historic eight-sided dining room which was once Aarhus city's dance pavilion. The seven-metre-high ceiling, which echoes the daily conversations of our happy guests, creates a unique atmosphere. There is room for everyone at Danhostel Aarhus. Feel free to make your own packed lunches in our well-equipped guest kitchen after you settle in and get ready to go on exciting excursions.
Aarhus is Denmark's second largest and the smallest major city in the world. It oozes with charm and offers countless opportunities for shopping and socialising. Aarhus city centre is only a few km from our hostel. A stroll through the cosy neighbourhood of Trøjborg takes you to the city centre which has a busy walking street, sidewalk cafés by the river, the shopping centre Magasin, Salling and Bruun's Galleries, and the iconic City Hall tower designed by Arne Jacobsen. Discover how Åboulevarden evolves from a quiet café atmosphere during the day to vibrant nightlife as the evening progresses.
The City of Smiles provides great experiences round-the-clock. When you say Aarhus, places such as Moesgaard Museum, Scandinavian Congress Centre, Concert Hall or ARoS comes to mind. Have your pick of the city’s many cultural offerings such as six theatres, conference centres, concert halls, and art exhibitions. Aarhus hosts the Jazz Festival in July each year and Aarhus Week (the biggest cultural event in Scandinavia) every September. Visit the Old City, the art museum ARoS, with its rainbow panorama skywalk mounted above the roof, Tivoli Friheden, and Bazaar West. Afterwards, if you need a bit of relaxation with family or friends, spend a day at our Danhostel to socialise with our other guests or have fun outside on the natural playground.
Book accommodation with us at Danhostel Aarhus, situated in the middle of the forest, yet within walking distance of the city centre and all it has to offer. If you have any questions, please contact us at +45 8621 2120 or email us at info@aarhusdanhostel.dk.
