500,000 Guests at Danhostel Ribe

Danhostel Ribe celebrates a remarkable milestone. There have been a total of 500,000 guests since Jens Philipsen became Manager in 1986. This has really boosted the morale of everyone at the hostel.

In connection with this achievment, Jens and Danhostel donated 20,000 DKK, on February 27, to Ribe Wooden Boat Guild (Ribe Træskibslaug), which maintains the boat, Johanne Dan.

Johanne Dan on the Ribe River means a lot to Danhostel Ribe.  It provides a fantastic view from the hostel.  Jens comments, “Our view is an attraction in itself, and there is no doubt that it is one of Ribe’s most photographed areas.  Some of our guests request the same room when they stay with us, and the most sought after room is our lovely en-suite double room on the 2nd floor, which has a view of Johanne Dan on Ribe River.”

Danhostel Ribe has 170 beds and 40 rooms where you can stay cheap and comfortable.  Enjoy the beautiful town of Ribe and the wonders of Wadden Sea National Park.
