Sally Due Sperling will be the new hostess at Danhostel Esbjerg on January 1, 2020. She will replace Marianne and Børge Bull who will say goodbye after 23 wonderful years as hosts at Danhostel Esbjerg. Sally is not a stranger to Danhostel as she is the current hostess at Danhostel Kolding and will say goodbye at the end of 2019.
An increase of 24% at Danhostel Kalundborg
Danhostel Kalundborg has experienced an increase of 24% compared to 2015. Tourism is flourishing in the West Zealand City as evidenced by the results at the hostel.
Jens and Ulrikka Worsøe, hosts at Danhostel Kalundborg, describe the summer results as "super" and note that there are many Swedish and Norwegian guests. The number of visitors have not been this high for several years.
The aftermath of the financial crisis seems to have finally died out, and one can now expect to see many tourists in Kalundborg. The hosts at Danhostel Kalundborg believe that the increase is due to Kalundborg and Danhostel’s ability to meet the demands of the guests, which are natural surroundings, authentic experiences and relaxation in a peaceful setting.

In the spring of 2019, the Danhostel brand published a manifesto and new strategy to implement the 17 UN Sustainable Goals over the coming years. Several Danhostels have already embraced many of the initiatives. Danhostel Ebeltoft has already implemented 4 of the 17 World Goals.
