We offer 28 rooms with private bathrooms, a TV lounge, free Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas, free parking, laundry facilities and bicycle tours. We serve the best organic meals and homemade products. Danhostel Kalundborg was the first hostel to receive the Green Key, an environmental classification within the Hotel and Restaurant sector.
Our location is ideal for training camps, golf, hiking and cycling trips. There is a swim and sports centre within 200 m of the hostel and we provide great educational and conference facilities. Our hostel is just a 10-minute walk from Kalundborg Town Centre.
Kalundborg is a medieval town known for its 5-spired church, Vor Frue Kirke (Church of Our Lady). It has a lovely blue flag beach, many hiking trails and bicycle routes. The area has beautiful natural surroundings with steep slopes, heather fields and sandy beaches. The peninsulas of Asnæs and Rosnæs provide wonderful views and great fishing opportunities.
While in Kalundbrog, visit Kalundborg Museum, and Birkegården’s Garden, which has the largest Japanese garden on the island of Zealand. Lerchenborg Castle with its rococo furniture is a must see and so is the bird sanctuary at Nature Park Åmosen on Tissø.
Hosts Ulrikka and Jens Worsøe welcome you to Danhostel Kalundborg and the charming town of Kalundborg, which offers a wide variety of attractions to suit every guest.
