Danhostel Ringsted

Danhostel Ringsted is a few minutes’ walk from Ringsted’s town centre. We are housed in the historical "Amtstuegaard" and have 16 family rooms, all with private bathrooms. We provide free Wi-Fi, free parking, and a TV lounge. We have a beautiful terrace and a lovely garden with big old trees, where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. The staff at Danhostel Ringsted welcome you with a smile, lend a helping hand if you need information about local attractions, and provide a packed lunch for your trips.

Ringsted is one of Zealand's oldest cities and is located about 60 km from Copenhagen. During the Middle Ages, Ringsted was the main town on Zealand.  The city dates back to Viking times but is now a modern commercial and cultural city with a convention centre, concert hall and theatre. There are yearly concerts, fairs, festivals, plus swimming facilities, parks, museums, breweries, restaurants and cafes. 

Close to our hostel, you will find St. Bendt's Church, the town’s landmark, which contains the tombs of several Danish royalties. It is the first brick church in Denmark dating back to 1170.

Ringsted Outlet Centre has the largest amount of outlet stores and offers attractive discounts on many brand name products.

Ringsted Sports Centre with halls, sports fields and swimming pool is only 1 km from our hostel. If you prefer museum and nature, visit Ringsted Museum and Windmill, and Ringsted Tram Museum located 15 km north of our hostel. BonBon-Land is about a half hour away by car. Rent a bicycle and tour galleries, monuments, sculptures and memorials such as the Water Sculpture in the Square, Carl Theodor Zahles Monument or Queen Dagmar Memorial Well. The towns of Køge, and Holbæk, and the city Roskilde are less than 40 km away.
