Stay at Danhostel Hobro in lovely buildings with 20 modern rooms with private bathrooms and be close to the forest. Enjoy the beautiful garden with a terrace, barbecue areas, picnic tables, petanque, ball court, playground and two football fields. Use our hostel as a base to enjoy exciting attractions in Jutland.

Our nearest neighbour, Hobro Stadium, has indoor swimming, shooting range, tennis courts, fitness centre, 2 large gyms and tanning machines. A bowling centre is only 500 m from our Danhostel. Some of Denmark's best golf courses are close to our Danhostel. There are several fishing spots, bicycle routes and hiking trails along the fjord. Visit Tivoli Friheden, Djurs Sommerland, Aalborg Zoo and Randers Rain Forest. 

Hobro is a market town which lies in hilly terrain at Mariager Fjord. There are several historic buildings from Vikings times during King Harald Bluetooth’s reign. The Viking settlement, Fyrkat, located just 4 km from Danhostel Hobro, is today Viking Center Fyrkat, an activity centre with, among other things, wool work, bread making, archery, forging and a museum shop.  

When you visit Hobro, expect to find beautiful surroundings and an area packed with Viking history.  There is a child-friendly beach, plus and a host of attractions such as Fjord tours on the boat Svanen, Hobro Museum, Gas Museum, Hobro Church, and The Danish Museum of Pleasure Boats.
