Your adventure begins when you stay at Danhostel Rebild located next door to Rebild Hills National Park. Our beautiful hostel, a lovely thatched house from 1940, has 21 rooms, all with private bathrooms.  We provide free Wi-Fi, free parking, a dining room, guest kitchen, living room and a café in our reception area.  Everything you desire is here, right in the heart of nature, and less than half an hour from the city of Aalborg.  There is room for groups, families, seniors, school camps and backpackers.  At Danhostel Rebild you can stay as close to nature and culture as possible. Host Vivi welcomes all, and Vivi’s assistant, Louise serves a lovely homemade breakfast each day before you leave for your trips.

Rebild Municipality is packed with exciting activities and has beautiful natural surroundings.  If you like hills, troll forests, orchids, limestone and crystal clear springs, then stay with us and take part in exciting adventures.  Rebild National Park with its hilly glacial landscape, crystal clear spring water and some of the cleanest swimming lakes, is one of Denmark's biggest tourist attractions with 400,000 visitors each year.

Rebild Bakker (Rebild Hills) has a unique history.  In 1912, a group of Danish-Americans gave the land they purchased back to the Danish government with three conditions: The area was to remain in a natural state, it should be accessible to all, and Danish-Americans should be allowed to host events.  Each year since 1912, on July 4, the American Independence Day celebration is held here. You can also enjoy Rebild Festival, Opera, and the summer ballet held annually.  Adjacent to Rebild Bakker, is Denmark’s largest forest, Rold Skov, where various activities such as mountain biking, canoeing, hiking and skiing are held.
