Danhostel Silkeborg, located in the centre of the city is beautifully situated near the forest.  The hostel’s backyard extends down to the Guden River (Gudenå). We have 20 rooms with private bathrooms and 6 with shared bathrooms. We provide free Wi-Fi, free parking, a guest kitchen, a café with an espresso machine, a TV lounge and laundry facilities.

The areas surrounding the hostel are perfect for cycling, rowing, sailing, hiking and jogging. There are several museums nearby and ample possibilities to go on nature tours. If you prefer to relax at our hostel, we have various indoor games you can borrow, plus outdoor activities such as fishing, table tennis, boules, basketball, football, volleyball to name a few. Relax on our outdoor furniture in the backyard and watch the boats, canoes and kayaks sail by on the river.

Mealtimes at Danhostel Silkeborg is special for our guests.  Our breakfast buffet is part of your group package. Buy lunch packs which include a piece of fruit and a bottle of water and bring them with you on your excursions in and around the city. Order dinner in house - a 2-course meal consisting of a hot dish, 2 kinds of mixed salads, dressings and homemade bread. You must be at least 10 people to count as a group and you must be a minimum of 20 people in order to purchase  lunch and dinner.
