Danhostel Skanderborg school camps

At Danhostel Skanderborg, school camp is a total experience. We take care of everything. All your meals are served in our dining room, and you get packed lunches to bring with you on your excursions.

Danhostel Skanderborg is in the middle of a beautiful beech forest in Skanderborg right on the shores of Skanderborg Lake. The location allows for a variety of sports and other fun activities such as swimming and canoeing. Fish from the small bridge with a net or fishing rod. Enjoy campfires and make campfire treats while you sing and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.  Take a walk or jog around Skanderborg Lake and explore one of the Lake's many islands.

The town of Skanderborg is centrally located.  It is close to major attractions, yet so peaceful - in the middle of the forest, far from neighbours.

There are many attractions which are free for school camps and worth a visit. Take a walk to Freedom Museum which was a bunker during World War II. It is only 10 m from Danhostel Skanderborg.  If you are up to more adventures, search for the other bunkers in the forest. School camp teachers can also get help in arranging orienteering or night runs in the forest.

Danhostel Skanderborg is the perfect base for visits to other attractions. We are only 18 km away from Jutland's capital, Aarhus, where you can enjoy several major attractions such as The Old Town (Den Gamle By), Moesgård Museum and ARoS Art Museum. LEGOLAND in Billund, Givskud Zoo, Djurs Sommerland and Randers Rainforest are only a short drive away.
