Reservations, Check-in and Cancellations

    Reservations
    Danhostel’s hostels are extremely popular, so we recommend that you book ahead in good time. During the period from September 15, to June 30, reservations must be made at least three days before arrival. Many hostels close during this period if there are no advance bookings.
     
    The reservation of beds/rooms can be made by email, telephone, fax or via the online booking system. Stays of three or more days should be booked and confirmed in advance.
    A reservation is valid when you receive the hostel’s confirmation either by phone or in writing. Danhostel reserves the right to request a deposit or the full amount on advance bookings prior to your arrival. In the event of a cancellation made within the time limit specified by Danhostel, monies will be refunded, minus a cancellation fee of 100 Danish kroner. Please refer to our cancellation policy.
     
    Check-in/Check-out
    Please verify check-in/check-out time with the individual Danhostels. 
      
    Cancellation
    The hostel should be informed of cancellations as soon as possible. Some hostels will find it easier to rent a cancelled room than others. Unless otherwise stated in writing by the specific hostel, the following general cancellation terms apply:
     
    • Stays of one or two nights may be cancelled up to three days prior to arrival with a refund of the full amount, minus a cancellation fee of 100 Danish kroner per room. After this period, the reservation is binding and the full amount due for the reserved accommodation, including any extra services booked.
    • Stays of three or more nights may be cancelled up to seven days prior to arrival with a refund of the full amount, minus a cancellation fee of 100 Danish kroner per reserved room. After this period, the reservation is binding and the full amount due for the reserved accommodation, including any extra services booked.
