Danhostel Skagen
Surrounded by white sand beaches, nature reserves and a unique light, Danhostel Skagen located in the northernmost part of Denmark was built in 1994. As the only hostel in Skagen, we are close to the city centre and are open from March to December with rooms for individuals, couples, families and groups. We have 24 rooms - half of which are en-suite and allergy-friendly - with modern, comfortable beds. We have single, double, family rooms with four beds and some handicap-friendly rooms. The young and young at heart can enjoy our playground, relax in our TV room and prepare meals in our guest kitchen. A traditional Danish breakfast buffet is served every morning.
Skagen is renowned for its light, beautiful scenic surroundings and Golden Age Art. During the summer, there is a fantastic holiday atmosphere and lots of activities for both young and old. All year round, the city is a wonderland for the culturally interested, and the artwork and lives of famous Skagen artists can be experienced at the Michael and Anna Ancher's House and the famous Skagen Museum.
The attractions in Skagen are not limited to fine art. Visit Råbjerg Mile, the largest migratory dune, and Grenen where you can stand with one foot in the Kattegat and the other in the Skagerrak. Enjoy the beaches, the exciting harbour, the Sand-Covered Church also known as the Buried Church, which is one of Denmark’s oldest buildings, and much more.
