Wadden Sea National Park and Ribe
Wadden Sea National Park, on Denmark's west coast, teems with life. Watch the impressive phenomenon called Black Sun (Sort Sol) where millions of starlings murmurate. Danhostel Ribe, Danhostel Tønder and Danhostel Esbjerg are close to all the memorable experiences, and the hosts will give you practical advice and tips about the area. In Ribe, Denmark's oldest town, follow the night watchman as he makes his rounds on the narrow streets. View the town from the tower at Ribe Cathedral. The 9-m tall sculpture, "Man by the Sea," near Sædding Beach is worth seeing.

Gråsten and Rømø

The re-enactment of the War of Als happens at 2 am on weekends before the summer holiday. Trapholt Museum
Trapholdt Museum houses modern art, crafts and Danish design furniture. There are exhibitions of art and design from Danish and international designers. The building which houses Trapholt Museum is a work of art and, it sits in a lovely park overlooking Kolding Fjord.

Koldinghus
Koldinghus, Denmark's first Renaissance castle, is Jutland's last royal home. For more than 750 years, the castle played an important role in Denmark's history. It was one of the country's largest and most important castles during the Middle Ages. Koldinghus is now a museum which offers events including changing exhibitions each year. Koldingshus celebrated its 750th anniversary in 2018. On exhibition are 17 unique tapestries weaved in Paris that were donated by Ny Carlsberg Foundation. They will be on display in 2018. Bridgewalking Lillebælt is a new attraction in Europe. Get a unique experience as you view the landscape from 60 m and at the same time learn about the history of the bridge. You can experience Bridgewalking when you stay at Danhostel Fredericia or Danhostel Vejle.

Skamlingsbanken at Kolding
Skamlingsbanken, a large hill on the peninsula of Jutland, offers beautiful views of Little Belt Strait. A tall granite pillar stands here as a memorial of the dispute over the area of Schleswig-Holstein, along with Denmark's highest flagpole.

Christiansfeld
Christiansfeld is one of Denmark’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The settlement founded in 1773 by members of the Moravian Church from Saxony, Germany, is named after Christian VII who approved the construction.
